This dip is a dinner party favourite! It goes very well with various antipasto, dried fruit and cheese platter combinations.

Preparation: 10 minutes

Cooking time: Nil

Makes: approx. 3 ½ cups

Ingredients

410g canned pink salmon drained

250 g cream cheese, softened

½ cup mayonnaise or aioli

Juice of 1 lemon or 2 limes

¼ cup sour cream

3-4 gherkins, chopped

1 tbsp chopped chives

Freshly ground black pepper

Sea salt, ground.

How to make Salmon, Cheese and Chives Dip

Place all ingredients listed for the dip in a food processor or blender. Blend until the mixture is smooth.

Transfer the dip to a serving dish. Cover, and refrigerate until required. Serve this delicious dip with crackers, carrot, celery and/ or cucumber sticks. Sliced apple, halved strawberries, halved cherry tomatoes or mini Roma tomatoes. Gourmet cheese, olives, sun-dried tomatoes or capsicum, etc. Fruit chutneys.
